During my travels growing up and being a DJ at a young age for a radio station in Turkey I fell in love with music. I enjoyed any sound or beat that moved me to my core regardless of what genre it was or which part of the world it was from. I had to have it and share it. As I grew older, my love for music grew even more. Always in search of new music, new beat, new voice that took me to that spacial place. Now I typically share my finds on my FB page, but as of today I have decided to share them on my blog for you to enjoy and share with your friends.
My ears are always open for a new beat. I have found myself holding my phone up in the middle of a restaurant or a store trying to catch the song or memorize the lyrics so I can google it and find it after a couple of failed attempts from Shazam and Soundhoud. So starting today you will find a song (new or old, original or remix) that I would dedicate to the upcoming week.
I encourage you to share your finds here on the comment section as well. I would love to hear your choices.
This week’s choice is a song I found walking around Abbot Kenny in Venice beach. I think I heard it at the TOM’s store. The song is by Claptone Feat. Nathan Nicholson. It’s called Heartbeat. I fell in love with the beat, the lyrics and of course Nathan’s voice. It’s very whimsical at the same time makes you move feeling happy. A perfect song for a Sunday pool party. Hope you like it as much as I do.
XOXO
