My travel to one of the most amazing sites I have laid my eyes on.
A volcano near the Bay of Naples in Italy called Mount Vesuvius, that is hundreds of thousands of years old and has erupted more than 50 times. It is most famous for the eruption that took place in the year 79 A.D. The volcano buried the Roman city of Pompeii and everyone in it under a thick carpet of volcanic ash. The site was rediscovered in 1748 by a group of explorers. It was both sad and surreal feeling walking down the streets of Pompeii.
